When the soul was asked to leave and granted a body, it protested asking, “Why me?” God replied, “Within Me, you can’t feel Me. I want you go without Me so that the longing, the yearning, might bring you back to Me.” The power of separation is more wonderful than the power of union, because the power of separation causes the longing for union. It’s the longing for union which is enjoyable, not the union. Union has no purpose. Union is union; but it is the welding which creates the sparks, the light.
